- Advantages Of Sublimation Printing Verses Screen Printing
The main difference between the two printing methods is as follows. With sublimation printing, the digital image is printed onto a special transfer paper and from there high heat is used to transfer the dye into the garment’s fibers. When it comes to screen printing a screen with an image that needs to be transferred to the garment is created and ink is then squeezed through pores in the screen onto the garment. Sublimation versus Screen Printing by Subhouse in Cape Town Sublimation Printing Verses Screen Printing SCREEN PRINTING The biggest difference between sublimation printing verses screen printing is that with sublimation printing the dyes are transferred into the fibers of the garments and with screen printing, the ink is transferred onto the garment. The effect of this is that with sublimation printing you have a print that will last as long as the garment and your print will not fade or crack. Because the ink is transferred onto the fabric during the screen printing process it will start to show signs of wear after many washes. Another big advantage of sublimation printing is that moisture management material stays breathable even after the print is completed. With screen printing, the process seals the fabric and this is not preferable when it comes to sportswear where you will sweat more under the printed material. SUBLIMATION PRINTING Sublimation printing also allows you to print your garment from seam to seam which will provide you with more options when deciding on the design of your garment. The most amazing feature of sublimation printing is that your design is only limited by your imagination. Anything that you can design digitally can be printed on a garment. That is because the image is printed on the transfer paper and from there onto the garment through the heat transfer process. The result is a garment with photo-quality colors and finish. The screen printing process only allows you to print one color at a time, making it very difficult and impractical to use too many colors. Screen printing will be more practical if you have a simple design and not too many colors. - Looking Better: Where to Get New Design Ideas for your Rugby Jersey
The sport of Rugby has gained absolute popularity in the last three decades. It is a full contact sport, a game of brute strength, and nothing can boost a rugby team’s spirit like well-crafted rugby jersey designs. Rugby Jersey design The mindset of a team can dramatically change with the changing colors and designs of the team’s jersey. In designing any sportswear, one must consider several aspects. Factors that are of consideration in designing any jersey or sportswear is the type of activity involved in the use of the apparel and also latest trends. Here, we list some ideas on how to find designs for your rugby jersey. 1. Think Rugby. Think of a design that will prevent opponents from grabbing you. In the case of rugby, since it’s a full contact sport and requires enormous amounts of movements, it pays to have a jersey material that is light weight and more skin tight to discourage jersey pulling and for it to stay lighter even in wet weather; also something cool for added comfort! Polyester moisture management fabric (breathable) is used for rugby jerseys. These days there are no limits to the design or colours preferred. Smaller and nonexistent collars, round or V-necks are preferred so as to prevent opponents to grab them. 2. Long Sleeves of Short Sleeves? You might want to consider your location and its weather condition. Old School Rugby Apparel Before, all rugby jerseys sported long sleeves. Some players rolled their sleeves up above the elbow. Specific positions such as tight head props, for example, cut their sleeve off to prevent their opposite from binding on it during a scrum. For cold conditions, long sleeves are of preference. Today, manufacturers offer a variety of sleeve lengths from long, short or three quarter. Jersey numbers denote players’ positions, it is also important that patterns are carefully selected. They are always contrasting in colour. 3. The league or union you are playing needs to be considered as well. It is also important to consider whether the team is joining a league or a union. Rugby league jerseys are almost always designed with a large V from shoulder to shoulder and to the naval at its apex, whereas Rugby union jerseys are not. 4. Do you need a lot of prints? Where to put them? Now, the things you should consider are the colours, cuts and logos of the team. Where should they appear, and should they appear altogether? Prints generally appear on the abdominal area of the shirt and should be seen conspicuously for audience and sponsors to notice. Sublimation House supports the WESSA Rhino initiative and the logo gets printed on the jersey. Very Old School Rugby Apparel 5. Get the classic design. Get the classic feeling. In the 1800’s, the Rugby shirt originated in the town of Rugby, England, the same place rugby was first played. The Rugby shirt was traditionally designed with 5 or 6 horizontal stripes in alternating colors; it is long-sleeved and has a buttoned collar. This alternating color combination began when many teams merged to form one. For instance, a university or club would select two colors to best represent their merged team. Thus, the classic Rugby shirt design was born. Truth is the classic still sizzles up to these days. 6. Just have fun with the design. When designing a ruby jersey, you don’t really have to think too much about what you must and must not wear. The sport of rugby is all about having fun. When looking for ideas on designing your jersey, think of something that will make your team look happy on their rugby shirts. Get light colors or find a theme. Rugby shirt designs are also about your creativity. What Rugby Apparel Looks Like Now Because of the increasing demand for more intricate and detailed jersey designs, old methods are no longer sufficient in providing these design requirements. Sublimated Rugby shirts are the latest form of rugby jersey and are made by infusing colors of the design into the fabric at high temperature. The Sublimation process transfers your designs from transfer paper to polyester fabric using heat and pressure. This allows unique designs to be created with numbers, club / team and sponsors’ logos, and build it all into a single sublimated design that helps prevent tear offs and makes the jerseys last longer. - Why Polyester Fabric Is a Top Choice
Polyester fabric has become a staple in the fashion and textile industry. From clothing to upholstery, this versatile fabric plays a significant role in our daily lives. People often choose polyester for its affordability and durability, but there are several other reasons why it continues to rise in popularity. In this blog post, we will explore the many advantages of polyester fabric, how it compares to other materials, and why it remains a top choice for consumers and manufacturers alike. Polyester Fabric Advantages One of the primary reasons polyester is so popular is its practicality. It offers several benefits that make it an appealing option for various applications. Here are some key advantages of polyester fabric: Durability : Polyester is extremely strong and resistant to wear and tear. This makes it ideal for clothing that needs to withstand daily use, such as work uniforms and outdoor apparel. It's less prone to fading, shrinking, and wrinkling compared to natural fibers. Moisture Wicking : Polyester fabric is excellent at wicking moisture away from the body. This property is valuable for athletic wear, as it keeps the wearer dry and comfortable during workouts. Color Retention : Polyester holds dye well, resulting in vibrant colors that last longer than those on natural fabrics. This durability in color makes it a great option for fashion items that need to maintain their appearance over time. Low Maintenance : Polyester is easy to care for, often machine washable, and quick-drying. This makes it a practical choice for busy individuals and families who want clothing that doesn't require special handling. Affordability : Compared to natural fibers, polyester is generally more affordable. This makes it a cost-effective choice for consumers looking to save on apparel and home textiles. Colorful polyester fabric rolls for various uses. Versatility of Polyester Fabric Polyester fabric is incredibly versatile, which is evident in its wide range of applications. It can be found in various forms, including: Clothing : From everyday wear to specialized athletic gear, polyester is often blended with other fibers to enhance comfort and performance. Furniture Upholstery : Polyester is frequently used in home furnishings. Its durability and color retention make it a popular choice for sofas, chairs, and curtains. Home Textiles : Bedding, towels, and tablecloths made from polyester offer a blend of elegance and practicality, enabling easy cleaning and maintenance. Industrial Uses : Industries often utilize polyester for manufacturing various equipment and components due to its strength and longevity. The adaptability of polyester enables it to meet the needs of various sectors, enhancing its appeal to both manufacturers and consumers. High-tech polyester Birds Eye fabric. Is Polyester a Good Quality Fabric? When it comes to fabric quality, polyester often faces criticism from natural fibers like cotton and wool. However, it's essential to consider the context of its use. Polyester can vary considerably in quality depending on the manufacturing process. High-quality polyester can mimic the feel of luxurious fabrics while offering durability and resilience. For example, microfiber polyester is known for its softness and is often used in high-end clothing and furnishings. Moreover, the blend of polyester with other fibers often results in enhanced qualities, such as increased comfort and breathability. For instance, polyester-cotton blends combine the natural softness of cotton with the durability and moisture-wicking properties of polyester. This combination is commonly used in T-shirts and dress shirts, providing a comfortable and functional garment. Overall, with advancements in textile technology, polyester can deliver high-quality results that satisfy consumer expectations. The Environmental Aspect of Polyester In recent years, the environmental impact of fabrics has come under scrutiny, and polyester is no exception. While polyester is a synthetic fabric made from petroleum products, recycling efforts are gaining traction in the industry. Recycled polyester is created from plastic bottles and other post-consumer waste, helping to mitigate environmental concerns. This eco-friendly option allows consumers to enjoy the benefits of polyester while contributing to sustainability efforts. Brands increasingly incorporate recycled polyester into their product lines, which illustrates a growing commitment to environmental accountability. As consumers continue to prioritize eco-friendly choices, recycled polyester offers a viable alternative that combines style and sustainability. Recycled polyester fleece fabric in a vibrant color. Choosing Polyester Fabric for Your Needs When selecting polyester fabric, it's essential to consider the specific attributes that meet your needs. Here are some tips to help you make an informed decision: Consider the Blend : Decide if you want 100% polyester or a blend with another fiber. Blended fabrics can provide unique benefits, such as added softness or water resistance. Check the Weight : Polyester fabric comes in various weights. Lightweight polyester is ideal for summer clothing, while heavier options work well for outerwear. Look for Quality : Examine the fabric quality based on feel and finish. Soft and smooth polyester feels better against the skin and can give a more luxurious look. Evaluate the Purpose : Consider what you need the fabric for. If you require something for sports or outdoor activities, look for moisture-wicking polyester. For home decor, focus on durability and ease of care. Research the Brand : Investigate the brand's commitment to sustainability if environmental concerns are important to you. Look for certifications indicating eco-friendly practices. By taking these factors into account, you can make an informed choice about polyester fabric that best suits your lifestyle and needs. In summary, polyester fabric remains a top choice due to its exceptional durability, versatility, and affordability. With ongoing advancements in production techniques and a growing emphasis on sustainability, the future of polyester fabric is bright. - WHAT IS SUBLIMATION PRINTING
This is a process whereby any design or image is transferred to a special type of paper and from there onto a polyester fabric. The process involves high heat and pressure and the result is a permanent print that is only limited by your imagination. Sublimation House has been operating from its factory in Cape Town for nearly 20 years and understands the sublimation process very well. Their team of graphic designers will assist you with all your sublimation printing needs to ensure that your garment will be perfect for you and your team. If you need a sublimation printer then look no further than Sublimation House. They have your sublimation printing needs covered. Sublimation Printing Machine Once you have decided on a design for your garment and the graphic designers did their magic the image is then reverse printed on a special sheet of “transfer paper”. The paper will allow the ink to be released into the polyester fabric. This is achieved by using heat and pressure to turn the ink into a gas without going through a liquid phase. To ensure that the process will result in a long-lasting and crisp print, the correct combination of time, temperature, and pressure is required. The process then allows the ink that was turned into a gas, to enter the pores of the polyester fabric. Once the gas then cools down it solidifies and is trapped inside the fabric of the garment. To achieve optimal color, temperatures of up to 215 degrees Celsius can be used. The sublimation printing process produces a garment that is permanently dyed and the print will last as long as the fabric. Sublimation printing results in extraordinarily crisp images with brilliant colors. Images equivalent to photographs with near-perfect tones can be achieved. This is due to the unique way the ink bonds and penetrates the fibers. The images can also be transferred across the whole garment allowing for some unique and interesting designs. With sublimation printing one is only limited by your imagination when it comes to what you want to print on your Sports Wear, T-shirts, Golf shirts, Jackets, Hoodies, fabric, Curtains, Table Clothes, etc. Sublimation printing is perfect for Sports Wear. Because the colors are not added to the fabric but form part of the fibers of the fabric it is extremely durable and will last as long as the garment. It will not fade in the many washes your Sports Wear will be subjected to. Sublimation printing is perfect for clubs, teams, organizations, etc. that want to stand out at an event by creating their unique garments. By having more than just your name or logo on your shirt you will be noticed by everyone. Why have a small button on your shirt when your whole shirt can shout out a message?
